HSINCHU, Taiwan—The Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company has made quite a hit in Hsinchu, a famous “Wind City” in Taiwan. Its second show in Hsinchu was staged on the evening of March 20, 2009. It once again attracted a full house. People flocked to the Hsinchu Municipal Performance Hall, including many faculty members of the nearby National Tsing Hua University and National Chiao Tung University.
“It was a high-quality performance. The overall stage design was very successful. The images projected on the backdrop presented aspirations for a better life as well as the pursuit of a peaceful mind. It also seemed to have elicited a long-forgotten memory,” said associate professor Liu Ruey-Hua, director of Arts Center, National Tsing Hua University after the performance.
He said Shen Yun’s performance was unique and outstanding, as it not only combined traditional and modern artistic elements, but also it presented the China’s multi-cultural characteristics. He added that through the overall performance, the audience could feel Shen Yun’s noble objective of carrying forward traditional Chinese culture.
Mr. Liu said, “Shen Yun made me reconsider my life. For instance, how to make the world a better place and how to make interpersonal relationship become more stable and harmonious.
“This is indeed a high-quality and marvelous show based on traditional Chinese culture.”
