One chilly day, a few men strolling down the road near a railway track in Romania caught sight of a stray dog looking for food. The concerned people didn’t want to leave the dog behind and shuddered at the mere thought that the canine might get hit by a train. So, they set out to try and catch it.
When the rescue team arrived on the scene, they set out to work to catch the stray. But the more they tried, the further he ran. Then, the team tried chasing him away from the train tracks towards the road—and this time the trick seemed to work.
After a while, the dog “sensed” that the rescuers were his friends. He submitted to them and allowed the team to take him in. The little dog was then transported to the shelter, where he was examined.
To the vet’s surprise, he was microchipped! They discovered the pooch’s name was Bobi, and he was 9 years old. Everyone was happy for Bobi, thinking that most probably he just lost his way, as he was found just 10 miles from his home.
However, when staff at the shelter contacted the owner, they were heartbroken. The owner told them he didn’t want Bobi and asked them to please take the dog.
The volunteers took in Bobi and showered him with love and care. Gradually, Bobi revealed his wonderful character. Eventually, there was another happy twist in this sweet canine’s life. The rescue shelter soon confirmed Bobi’s adoption by a lovely couple, Donny and Dawn, from Delaware in the United States.
Bobi is happy again in his golden years; he is living life to the fullest with a family that adores him.
“He may be ’technically' a senior dog, but Bobi is still playful and curious. It’s like he’s living now the puppyhood he missed,” the team said.
