This mama cow has become a viral sensation since photos of her and her calf have appeared on Reddit.
Reddit user UnicornsAndJerky posted a photo of a friend’s cow, named Celeste, and her cute dust-brown baby daughter, Nebula, on the popular social media website. It’s understandable why the post has garnered more than 60,000 likes—Celeste’s appearance is truly unique.

Celeste has a plethora of tiny white spots spread in clusters over her pitch-black hide. At a glance, it looks like twinkling white stars spread across the night sky.
Nevertheless, Celeste’s distinctive look has sparked the witticisms of numerous people’s imaginations on social media.
One Reddit user wrote, “See, this is what happens when a cow actually jumps over the moon.”

“Milky way within udder space,” another commented.
“How’s her milk? Is it... STELLAR?” joked one poster.
“Missed opportunity to name her Gal-lactose,” chimed another.
Although a number of tongue-in-cheek puns were shared, one question remains unanswered: What kind of breed is Celeste?

Many netizens were left baffled as to her origin. Celeste’s owner bought her at an auction and doesn’t have the slightest clue either.
One Redditor posited, “Looks like an odd Speckle Park or British White. Perhaps a mix of the two could come out with this rare pattern.”
“My guess would be Holstein, but with a weird pattern,” another wrote. “Though that calf looks like Jersey, or maybe a Guernsey. I grew up with Jersey cows, they’re so cute.”

Even though we may never know what kind of cow Celeste is, there is one thing that is certain—she’s a unique beauty to look at. Wouldn’t you agree?
