A “guinguette” in French is a festive spot—a restaurant meets cabaret meets dancing hall kind of place. An upcoming guinguette organized by Sud de France and scaled up to block party proportion, aims to put Languedoc-Roussillon, France’s southernmost region, on the map.
Entrance is free, but visitors can purchase foods from the region, including specialties like rousquilles (a lemony-flavored biscuit) and brandade de Nîmes (made with salt cod and olive oil), prepared by Atrium’s chef Laurent Kalkotour.
