Dogs have long been known for their loyalty and their strong instinct to guard their owners from harm.
A case in point—in Virginia, back in July 2017, one dog protected a 10-year-old girl from peril.
According to Prince William County Police Department, the little girl was taking her dog for a stroll in the 1800 block of Heather Glen Court in Woodbridge at around 3:50 p.m. on a Friday.
As the girl was walking her dog on her own, an unidentified Hispanic man, wearing a white striped shirt and light-colored long pants, suddenly approached and grabbed her arm.
Apparently, the man who had a thin build, sporting short brown hair and a goatee, was attempting to abduct the girl.
Luckily, the girl was not completely alone. She had her faithful dog with her.
Sensing the girl was in danger, the dog came to her rescue.
Mauled by the ferocious pooch, the suspect immediately released the little girl and ran for his life.
If not for the canine’s guardian instinct, this story would’ve ended very differently.
