The world will never forget the September 11 terrorist attacks. Eighteen years ago on Sept. 11, 2,977 were killed when hijackers flew planes they had seized and crashed them into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, Pentagon Building in Washington, and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
As people all over the world paused to remember this day, which “still hurts,” Mississippi mom Cametrione Malone-Brown went to deliver her baby girl via cesarean section at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee, on Sept. 11, 2019.
Amazingly, her daughter, named Christina Malone-Brown, made history by being born on Sept. 11, 2019, at 9:11 p.m.
Coincidentally, little Christina came into the world weighing exactly 9 pounds and 11 ounces (approx. 4.4 kg)!
The significance and spooky yet unbelievable coincidence of baby Christina’s birth left the doctors, hospital staff, and many people stunned.
“Everybody was saying we should go play the lottery,” joked Brown.
Patient care coordinator Rachel Laughlin said: “Oh, I’ve never seen it in 38 years. It’s very rare but very special. It just makes her an even more special little girl than she already is.”
“Then 18 years later on that day 9/11, you find triumph; you find a piece of joy from a day that was so drastic and still hurts,” she added.
Baby Christina is in good condition despite needing extra oxygen as a result of minor lung issues. She will return home to join her older siblings, aged 13, 10, and 9, in a few days’ time, as per media reports.
Christina’s birthday will be truly special as she learns about the tragic event that happened on this day years ago.
Little Christina is not the only baby born with matching and significance numbers.
Parents Rachel Landford and Johntez Brown welcomed the arrival of their baby girl, named J’aime Brown, at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis on July 11, 2019, at 7:11 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces (approx. 3.5 kg).
To honor the birth of their “Lady Lucky,” 7-Eleven is gifting $7,111 to the newborn’s college fund.
Warmest congratulations to both families on the birth of your unique baby girls!
