FRANKFURT, Germany—It had not been long since Mrs. Schleicher handed over her company in the horticulture industry to her son. Accompanied by her lady friend, she attended the Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour presentation at Jarhunderthalle on February 21.

After the show Mrs. Schleicher answered some questions in the VIP lounge.

Epoch Times: How would you describe the show of the Divine Performing Arts?

Mrs. Schleicher: I have never seen anything like it! It was a surprise for me and I must say, I can truly recommend it. People, who would like to see something of this nature, should not miss it. To learn about what is possible and what is out there ... how should I describe it ... the movements, such fine movements! Not like here in a disco. This is fine art, simply beautiful, very beautiful!

I especially liked the dance pieces, the background and the costumes—everything worked well together and can then truly impress people.

ET: You have described it as unique. Is there something that especially remains in your memory?

Mrs. Schleicher: Well, especially ... I would not want to miss anything. It is simply the fine art, the way they performed. The rhythm is incomparable. What we perform in dance groups here is simply not comparable to this show.

ET: Would you come again and watch this show?

Mrs. Schleicher: Yes, spontaneous yes!

ET: How did the composition affect you, the interplay of background with the performers on stage? Was there something you especially noticed?

Mrs. Schleicher: Yes, yes the background did truly animate me. Especially the design with the flora. The plant and flower—the naturalness of the background.

ET: Yes, the goal of Divine Performing Arts is to portray pure beauty and compassion. To what extent did they succeed?

Mrs. Schleicher: I believe they succeeded! I could imagine that it is always beautiful to experience something like this. It is something totally different. At home everyone goes to the Mardi gras ... but is in no way a comparison.

ET: Would you say you have gained a view of the Chinese culture?

Mrs. Schleicher: Yes a little bit. During the Olympic Games one was able to see some things, but this here is something totally different! ... what they portray here.

ET: Are you talking about the current China?

Mrs. Schleicher: Yes the current China, the communist China. One probably will not be able to see this there. It is not the country what they portray there. I mean the communism. The communism which has brought about the cultural revolution. Well personally, I would not like to go to China.

ET: Did you experience a feeling, a message from the show?

Mrs. Schleicher: That is difficult to say, well a message? Yes, one receives a different face to the people in the show, that is beautiful. They have come closer to us now, so human. It is simply a very long culture therein, an ancient culture. Also, the movements with their hands ... these performers do that so beautifully. The movements for me are fantastic.

ET: Would you describe these movements as typically feminine?

Mrs. Schleicher: Rather typically Chinese. I mean the fine things. That is something totally different from what I have experienced in shows so far.

ET: It is told that the culture is being “impressed in the bones”. Would you see it like that as well?

Mrs. Schleicher: Yes, that lies in the mentality of the people. I would say that it is innate to the Chinese.

ET: Thank you very much Mrs. Schleicher.
