Bindi Irwin and hubby Chandler Powell are going to have a baby!
“Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting!“ she wrote beside a photo of the couple, both donning Australia Zoo khaki shirts and holding an adorably tiny matching shirt for the little one on the way. ”It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.”
Bindi continued: “Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us.”
She added: “Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light. ❤️”
Chandler, 23, shared a comment on Bindi’s post: “You’re going to be the best mother ❤️” And she replied: “We’re going to be parents!! Still crying tears of happiness. I love you so much.”
Instagrammers joined in the excitement, sharing messages of congratulations in the comments section and offering up over 1.3 million likes.
“We’re going to be parents!!” he captioned beside the same photo as Bindi. “We have a baby Wildlife Warrior on the way coming in 2021. Becoming a dad is the highlight of my life. I cannot wait to embark on this new adventure and life chapter with my gorgeous wife, @bindisueirwin. Bee, you’re going to be the most amazing mother.”
“The best news ever!” he wrote with a photo with him in the photoshoot, along with mom and co-star Terri Irwin.
“I am so happy for Bindi & Chandler to be welcoming a new member of the family,” he adds. “I can’t believe I’m going to be an uncle! Incredibly excited for this brilliant new chapter and all the fun adventures ahead with a new little Wildlife Warrior!”
“This is the best day ever! I am over the moon to announce that @BindiIrwin and @chandlerpowell9 are going to have a baby!” Terri shared joyously. “Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart. While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud.”
Bindi and Chandler met in 2013 when Chandler came to Australia from his native city of Florida to partake in a wakeboard competition, and she took him on a tour of Australia Zoo.
Last July, they got engaged, and on March 25, they had their wedding ceremony right before virus-containment measures were in effect, limiting wedding sizes to just five people.
Bindi herself is the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, star of “The Crocodile Hunter” show and zoo keeper at Australia Zoo, who died from a stingray attack in 2006. Yet, it’s clear the Irwins are filling out his legacy, and now there will be one more generation of Wildlife Warriors to look forward to.
