A woman from Fort Myers, Florida, captured a “once in a lifetime view” of what appears to be an alligator in the sky.
Where else but in Florida?
An athletic coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County, Brenda Perino was driving home from work on State Road 29 on Oct. 14 around 7 p.m. when she looked out the window of her car and saw this:
Recalling the sighting in her car that day, she told The Epoch Times, “It was a normal day at work working with amazing kids!
“When I saw it, I immediately thought, ‘Oh my God! That’s a gator!’
“One of the perks of leaving work late is seeing the sunsets on my commute home. I just happened to see this cloud when I looked over at the sunset.
“I knew I had to pull over and get some photos!”
Perino had never seen a live alligator on the road before—until she started commuting to Immokalee about a year ago; now she sees them almost every day.
Perino, 47, said the fortuitous sighting of an alligator in the sky came as an early birthday gift, adding that the photo—which has since gone viral—had Gators’ football fans convinced it was a sign that “God loves the Gators!”
“I am happy that my simple photo has provided much joy to so many people,” she said. “That’s the secret to life; find joy in the little things that makes your heart happy!”
