Obicà bills itself as the world’s first mozzarella bar. Newly opened in the Flatiron District, it makes the fresh Mozzarella di Bufala the center of its universe, paired with simple products like heirloom tomatoes, pasta, or wine.
The Flatiron location is the 20th restaurant for the company, which boasts outposts in Florence, Milan, and Tokyo.

The types of mozzarella include Bufala Classica (delicate), Bufala Affumicata (smoked), Burrata (creamy), and Burrata al Tartufo (with black truffle). Small plates include anchovies from Sciacca, Sicilian eggplant stew, and bresaola.
