A dog owner from Charlotte, North Carolina, was highly amused when her tiny puppy started carrying huge sticks on their walks together. Many were much bigger than she was.
Golden retriever Eden’s obsession became so big a part of her personality that the adorable dog, now 5 years old, earned the nickname “Branch Manager” from her owner, Molly Kuekes.
Not only did Eden’s funny habit delight Molly’s neighbors, but it also rubbed off on her second puppy, named Bowser. Now, the pair carries sticks together on walks, and the sight is nothing short of adorable.
Molly adopted Eden to keep her company the first time she lived alone. When Eden first grabbed a huge, weighty tree branch in her mouth while out walking, Molly thought there was no way she'd manage to carry it.
“To my surprise, she did!” she told The Epoch Times.
“She dragged it right along with her on our walk. To this day, it makes me—and our neighborhood—smile every time she carries sticks on our walks.”
When Bowser came along in January 2021, independent Eden wasn’t too happy with the cuddly, hyper addition to the family. But the pair soon found the perfect way to bond.
“Seeing [Eden] share her sticks with Bowser was a huge deal,” Molly said. “It’s like she accepted him into our pack.”
Molly captioned the giggle-inducing clip, “Life Lesson: always see the bigger picture.”
