For adults, seeing life through the eyes of a child can often be quite amusing as little ones tend to find joy in the seemingly little, mundane things. A heartwarming video of a toddler laughing hysterically in a barber shop has taken the internet by storm
When 30-year-old Loren Hooper from Wales, United Kingdom, took her 2-year-old son, Mason Harris, to their local barbershop, Trimology, for a haircut in February, she had no idea her cheerful son’s infectious laughter would end up becoming a viral moment.
“He’s always kind of happy,” Ms. Hooper told The Epoch Times. “He loves to entertain.”
This time, when Mason’s barber, Imad Khalid, touched a ticklish spot behind Mason’s ear while cutting his hair, the little boy burst into laughter.
His laughter was so infectious that everyone in the room joined in.
“When he realized that everyone else was actually laughing with him, that kind of like led him to laugh even more,” Ms. Hooper said.
The giggling session went on for about 15 minutes, but the barber eventually realized he had to stop chuckling or he'd never be able to finish Mason’s haircut.
For Ms. Hooper the experience was refreshing.
“It’s really nice to see,” she said, “because normally when you take little ones for a haircut, it’s the opposite reaction!”
She’s happy that, with Mason, she doesn’t have to “stress about how he’s going to react or behave.”
After the haircut, Ms. Hooper sent the video to her husband, who “laughed it off” just like she had.
“I’ve seen a nice reaction,” Ms. Hooper said.
Netizens have commented that Mason’s laughter lifted their spirits. According to Ms. Hooper, people even said that they'd been “feeling a bit down or having a bad day,” until Mason’s laughter “cheered them up.”
“[We shared it on Trimology’s] profile just to advertise for younger children,” Ms. Hooper said. “The barber was like would you mind because it’s a good advertisement for them to just show that little ones don’t need to be scared of a haircut.”
Meanwhile, Mason—who gets his haircut twice a month at Trimology and is very friendly with the staff—is unaware of his moment of fame.
