TORONTO—The Mid-Autumn Spectacular impressed Toronto Automobile Dealers Association president Paul Stern so much that he will be recommending the show when Divine Performing Arts next comes to Toronto.

“The show was very professional and colourful, the orchestra was amazing, the conductor number one, and the principal dancer, top quality. Overall, the show was a winner,” said Stern.

Playing at John Bassett Theatre until Sunday, the Spectacular is awash in vibrant colour and celebrates China’s 5000-year history through classical Chinese dances and a full symphony orchestra.

Stern said one thing he had learnt was just how far back Chinese traditional culture was rooted in history.

“Every culture is unique and every culture is beautiful, but Chinese culture is probably the most sophisticated and colourful in existence.”

“Props and backdrops were amazing and the orchestra tops.” he said.

“I wish the producer the best of luck. … I think she is very talented and I hope she has a lot more shows.”

“I would recommend the New Year show to my friends.”

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of China’s most ancient and cherished holidays. The Spectacular expresses Chinese classical dance and showcases authentic traditional Chinese culture. Through background scenery, costumes, and choreography, the Spectacular expresses truthfulness, compassion, and pure beauty. China’s history comes to life in this gorgeous performance that is entertaining, inspiring, and uplifting. The content of all programs is presented in both Chinese and English.
