TAIPEI, Taiwan–On March 19, Mr. Wang Bowei, president of Rotary Club Taiwan and president of GeneSys Rack Corporation, watched the Taipei premiere of the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts. Marveling at the fusion of culture and art in the Shen Yun performance, he said, “It’s really terrific! It’s very spectacular from the beginning to the end!”
Mr. Wang Bowei has long been a member of the Kuomintang (KMT) campaign team and in 2008 served as vice chair of the Ma national presidential campaign team. He emphasized that with its manifestation of brightness and beauty, the Shen Yun performance was the best “teaching material of moral education.”
“After watching the Shen Yun, one will no longer insist on getting what he shouldn’t have. In turn, his spiritual level will be upgraded!” Following the performance Mr. Wang sensed a gentle power from Shen Yun that guided people to be good and to upgrade their mentality. And our modern society is in particular need of the Shen Yun performance, he said. He encouraged more friends to come to watch and experience the beauty of Shen Yun.
“Shen Yun features a good fusion of dance, art and music. Throughout the whole performance, the valuable Chinese history and stories of historic significance are presented through (the performers’) body movements, dance, music, and vocals. It’s quite impressive,” he said.
He also praised Shen Yun for being an honor to overseas Chinese. “Through art and culture, [Shen Yun] successfully interprets the long river of history. It must be a delight to foreigners.”
The Rotary Club, Junior Chamber, Lions Clubs, and Kiwanis are recognized as the top four industrial and commercial clubs in Taiwan, whose members consist of entrepreneurs admired for their long-term commitment to charity work and community service. Mr. Wang Bowei is often invited to give speeches nationwide.
