STOCKHOLM, Sweden—After a successful debut in Sweden last year, Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 World Tour performed again on Wednesday afternoon on March 18, on the stage of the distinguished theater Cirkus, in Stockholm.
“Very pleasant and impressive,” said Swedish book publisher, Arne Johansson during the intermission of the show.
Johansson further described that the show is well-balanced and portrayed different aspects of Chinese culture.
With a history of about 5,000 years, Chinese culture is deeply rooted in the minds of the Chinese.
Shen Yun Performing Arts, founded in New York in 2006, strives to recreate the divine beauty of the ancient Chinese culture, bringing a cultural renaissance on stage that the world has never seen before, according to information from the ensemble.
The reaction of the Swedish audience seems to confirm that their expectations of the show have been surpassed.
“They [the Shen Yun artists] are very incredibly knowledgeable and skillful,” said Wieslaw Ustupski, a civil engineer who was astonished by the agility of dancers.
“They seem to just fly through the air,” he added.
The Shen Yun Performing Arts will perform another show in the evening, before heading for another Swedish city, Linköping where three performances will be stage on Friday and Saturday.
