BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts gave Argentinians a taste of Chinese culture never heard or seen on their soil before. Over the past four years, Shen Yun’s touring groups have traveled through Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania, but this is the first time they have taken the Chinese Spectacular to South America. Ms. Rosemberg, a prominent psychologist in the audience, had a deep and thoughtful reaction to what she saw and heard.

The young dancers amazed the Argentinian audience. Many commented on the unique orchestra, comprising both Chinese and Western instruments, the bright colors of the costumes, and the large-scale projected backdrop.

Ms. Rosenberg said she was touched by the performance.

“Very lovely, I thought it was visually beautiful and also I really like the message that the show conveys. This is a message that invites us. It calls to us to find the divinity within all of us. The artist, recognition of, and encountering ancestors. That the culture of the ancestors is our culture,” Ms. Rosenberg said.

She said the artists were hard working and a truly technically competent group.

“And, all of the work that this marvelous group is doing—to rescue all of the values of their culture and take them throughout the world—I think [they are] a role model for all of us.”

Ms. Rosenberg said the performance brought, ”the value of truth, of the divinity, the path, of compassion, of love. This also manifests in their work as a team, right? That is also an example.”

Ms. Rosenberg viewed the show as something that brings a message to the world.

“Very delightful. Very emotional. I thought it was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Even more for today in Argentina, with what we have to deal with these days. This message of hope that was given to us at the finale—gorgeous.”

The act Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope she said was the ultimate gift for humanity.

“I was very moved by the final number, the finale, the one about hope, and also I very much liked the one about the Monkey King. . .Because I really liked all of the images that were there, the message of hope and also that visually beautiful spectacle, the beautiful final number.

“I also think it’s a beautiful show for children. It is a show that is divine for all of the family, because it is magical, totally magical, because it is a show the calls to the child within us and also to the magic. It is a not show to see with the mind, it is a show to see with the heart and with the soul,” Ms. Rosenberg said.

“A show to see with eyes of your soul not with the eyes of the your mind, to relax and view it with the eyes of the soul and try not to understand it with the mind, but view it with the eyes of the soul and see what the body feels.”

Shen Yun will be performing in Buenos Aires until July 5. They will then move to Santiago in Chile for three shows from July 10 to 12. The performers will return to Argentina on July 16, this time in Cordoba for three shows until July 18.
