PASADENA, Calif.—On New Year’s Eve at Pasadena Civic Auditorium, a unique and inspirational show, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) 2009 World Tour, wrapped up the year beautifully for many.

Don, who has danced since the 1950s into the 1970s in theaters in New York and Las Vegas, attended the first performance of the Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

“Beautiful production, and costumes,” he said of the holiday show. “Spectacular. Very enjoyable evening. It’s the way theater should be.”

Hearing about the performance through an advertisement, Don was attracted to the show because of his appreciation and his passion for traditional dance, “I love theater period, particularly Chinese theater.”

“I like the fact that it is traditional Chinese dance and they are hanging onto to something of the past and preserving it,” declared Don, espousing the mission of DPA.

In regard to the dancers, Don said,” They were beautifully trained, beautifully rehearsed—good performance. It was good theater, period.”

“I want more people to go to the theater and enjoy it as much as I did. It was a very enjoyable evening. The costumes were outstanding.”
