A photographer has captured the adorable moment some bear cubs learn to climb on trees.
Valtteri Mulkahainen, 60, from Sotkamo, Finland, took a series of pictures in Martinselkonen, Finland, during summer after noticing the bear cubs appearing to be taught how to climb.
“I like to photograph cubs and often go to this area for this reason,” said Valtteri, a physical and health education teacher at Sotkamo high school.
Referring to the pictures, Valtteri, who enjoys doing nature photography during his spare time, said he first noticed the cubs with the adult bear approaching the tree and then attempting to climb it on their own.
“It’s good for the cubs to learn how to climb trees to escape danger,” Valtteri said. “It seemed to me that the bear was teaching them how to climb a tree.”
However, he observed that the cubs didn’t really know how to climb the tree right away, so the adult bear would come up and give instructions.
