After a fight with her sisters, Alli Schroeder’s middle daughter attempted to run away from home. However, when the mom of three peeped out the window, she saw the sweetest sibling moment unfold.
Six-year-old Tatum was in the playroom with her older sister, Mattie, and younger sister, Kamryn, when the siblings got into an argument over their Barbie dolls.
Tatum, who is very sensitive, had had enough of the argument and headed to her mother to tell her what was going on.
“I told her that they needed to figure it out between themselves,” 30-year-old Mrs. Schroeder told The Epoch Times. “She then said that she was running away.”
Despite her mother trying to comfort her, the little girl was adamant and marched out of their house in Wilbur, Washington, with her stuffed octopus.
Within seconds, her sisters ran outside to bring her back into the house and love on her.
Ten-year-old Mattie being the “mother hen of the family” wanted to make the situation better so she gave Tatum a hug and told her they would figure it out between themselves. However, when Tatum didn’t agree and attempted to continue running away, Kamryn, 5, spread out her hands to block her path. Mattie then picked Tatum up and carried her back home.
When the siblings returned home, Tatum apologized to her mom for trying to run away and said she would never do it again.
The way her daughters behaved post-fight was proof to their mom that she’s raising them right.
“My three girls are extremely close with each other,” Mrs. Schroeder said. “I consider myself very lucky because my girls know that family comes first and to protect each other, no matter what.”
“The video truly shows how genuine my kids’ love is for each other,” Mrs. Schroeder said. “They did not know that I was filming them, and I loved that they treated each other so well behind closed doors when they did not think Mom was watching.”
However, this is not the first time the sisters have been spotted caring for each other.
“Last school year, an older kid was picking on Tatum at recess,” said Mrs. Schroeder, a social media influencer. “As soon as Mattie heard about it, she ran over to take care of Tatum. She and her friends band together to protect her and make her feel safe.”
These actions are a testament to what Mrs. Schroeder envisions for her daughters.
“I don’t need them to be the smartest in the class or the best athlete on the court, but I do expect them to be the most kind person they can be to everyone,” she said. “I know so many families where the siblings no longer speak to each other, and I vow to myself and our family that I will never let that happen with my children.”
