Academy Awards presenter Halle Berry, 58, lit up the red carpet in a strapless mirrored gown. The dazzling metallic dress, showcasing 7,000 shining crystals arranged in a mosaic, was created by young American designer Christian Siriano.
Actress Emma Stone channeled retro glamor in a custom plunging Louis Vuitton dress paired with pixie waves in her hair. Taking to the stage to present the Best Actress award, the 36-year-old stole the spotlight in her ‘90s inspired, sequined gown.
For her Oscars red-carpet debut, Lily-Rose Depp echoed the Gothic mood of her latest movie “Nosferatu” in a striking black lace dress by Chanel. The custom couture gown, which took over 515 hours to make, was beautifully complemented by soft, Old Hollywood-style waves.
A radiant Penélope Cruz opted for an exquisite white Chanel gown for this year’s event. The 50-year-old former Oscar winner looked ageless and ethereal in the sweeping chiffon-and-silk creation, perfectly accentuating her Spanish beauty.
Scarlett Johansson, 40, stepped out in timeless elegance in a navy blue velvet gown, complemented by matching gloves and a diamond necklace. The regal, draped-neck dress was selected from French designer Thierry Mugler’s 1999 collection.
British actress Annabelle Wallis appeared in a captivating blue Elie Saab gown that perfectly complemented her English-rose complexion. The 40-year-old “Peaky Blinders” star turned out to support her Oscar-nominated boyfriend Sebastian Stan, posing alongside him and his mom in the Greek goddess-inspired dress.
Gal Gadot’s statement Tiffany & Co. necklace, paired with red satin Prada gown, was one of the stars of the 97th Oscars. The Israeli actress, producer, and model, 39, kept her hair simple, allowing the bright, bold ball gown with full skirt to make a statement.
Following on from her Best Actress award two years ago, Michelle Yeoh dazzled once again in a sumptuous electric-blue dress by Balenciaga. A striking Boucheron necklace and chunky Richard Mille watch accessorized the strapless gown complete with a long train.
“The Substance” star Margaret Qualley was the picture of sophistication in a velvet backless gown. The 30-year-old daughter of actress Andie MacDowell accentuated the plunging back of the Chanel dress with a crystal fringe necklace worn backwards, also by Chanel.
Iconic actress Demi Moore, 62, exuded easy confidence and glamour in a custom crystal-embellished gown by Giorgio Armani. While Moore may have lost the trophy for Best Actress, she triumphed on the red carpet in the showstopping, sparkly dress.
Perfectly reminiscent of Hollywood’s Golden Era, a shimmering Lupita Nyong’o appeared on the red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre in an elaborate Chanel creation. The divine corseted gown, incorporating no less than 22,410 pearls, took inspiration from a dress included in Chanel’s Haute Couture spring-summer 1991 collection, worn on the runway by model Linda Evangelista.
Ever sartorially on point, winning actor Adrien Brody and British actress and designer girlfriend Georgina Chapman made a glamorous couple. Brody added an individual touch to his Giorgio Armani tuxedo with an oversized bird brooch; Chapman styling one of her own Marchesa creations with earrings matching Brody’s brooch.
Selena Gomez referenced Hollywood legend Sophia Loren in a figure-hugging Ralph Lauren gown. The fishtail, off-the-shoulder gown was adorned with over 16,000 hand-applied “drops of glass.”
British singer Raye brought the drama in a spectacular Vivienne Westwood gown. The siren-worthy red dress featured a corseted bodice, cowl neckline, and sweeping train; a quintessentially Westwood structure that beautifully highlighted Raye’s curves.
