One mother’s lesson to her children about respect and manners has gone viral.

Jaime Primak Sullivan, a self-styled “publicist, producer and writer,” uploaded a post to her Facebook page detailing her “mean” parenting practices.

After dinner on Sunday April 17, Sullivan took her three children to Dairy Queen.

While her children received their desserts from a young female Dairy Queen employee, Sullivan noted that “not one looked her in the eye. not one said thank you. Not to her, not to me.”

Sullivan decided this was a perfect time to teach her children—ages five, seven, and eight—a lesson on “exercising manners and honestly basic human decency.”

The “Jersey Belle” mother followed her children outside, counting to ten in her head. Upon finishing the count, Sullivan collected each of her children’s desserts and threw them in a trash can nearby.

The three children “launched into mass hysteria.”

When her offspring calmed down, Sullivan explained to them that “one day, if they were lucky, they would work a job like that young lady. And I would hope that people would see them. Really see them. Look them in the eye and say thank you.”

“So today, I am the meanest mom in the world,” Sullivan concludes sarcastically.

With the April 17 post gaining nearly 40,000 shares and over 300,000 likes, it seems the world approves of the “mean” mom’s actions.

One comment, which has garnered over 18,000 likes, was from a restaurant worker thanking Sullivan for instilling “manners and plain human decency” in her children.
