SAN DIEGO—Ms. He and her daughter Wei wei came to the United States to visit their relatives recently and they came to watch the first performance of the Divine Performing Arts International Company at the San Diego Civic Theatre on Dec. 26.

Wei, who has been practicing martial arts since she was young, commented, “The actors are all really skillful, they have good foundations, their movements are very accurate.” She believes those actors must start their training at a very young age and pass strict selection criteria as their jump movement is impressive.

Wei said that her husband had insisted that they come to the show as this kind of cultural show is hard to see nowadays. “I feel so close and related, it is the first time for me to watch such big Chinese culture show.” she said.

Ms. He arrived in the United States nearly one month ago. She introduced herself as an art troupe coordinator, and has experiences arranging all kinds of dance performances. She said she was overwhelmed after watching the show. “The dances reflected the glory side of Chinese culture. All my family love dance, and I can see all the dance artists are very talented.”

Ms. He said emotionally, “I feel so luck to watch the show, it is the arrangement of God for me to come to the show.”

Mr. Chen and his family of four came from Shanghai and they also watched the show in San Diego. He said that he received the show tickets as a Christmas present from his daughter.

Mr. Chen has special interests and affection for classical arts and dances and he enjoys Chinese classical dance very much.
