Plants are a wonderful addition to your home and no look is complete without a proper planter. Hanging planters or baskets can give you more options when you are considering adding plants to your home. They take up none of the “usable” space in a house or apartment, they don’t get in the way when space is limited, and depending on the plant, being hung they also limit your pets access to plants that can be problematic to certain pets, (think cactus!)

Hanging baskets have been a wonderful addition to many people’s homes. They add life and depth to every nook and cranny in a household, as well as a new variety of plants that live healthy lives indoors rather than out. And while they are used indoors, outdoors is a popular site for hanging baskets as well.

You can have the power and creativity to make a hanging basket that fits your style and needs, an item that is perfect for you. Many of these DIY ideas are made from recycled or upcycled material, and best of all it is easy.

Now for some, there might not be a lot of space or room in your household. So if you would like to do something smaller, perhaps a macramé succulent planter can be easier for you. You might have many kinds of unused containers in your home to DIY yourself a hanging planter. Using a bucket as a hanging basket or planter is one of the easiest projects you can do. With some rope and an ideal location to display your planter, you can create a wonderful flower bucket planter. This is easy for anyone that can be done with family and children. The tip here is is that you need a sturdy rope and location that can hold the weight of your plant. It is also worth noting that watering could become an issue if you don’t drill some drainage holes to keep your plants roots and soil healthy.

Depending on the look you’re going for you can create a simple look or a sphere of flowers. These pots come with fibers and holes to create looks that can work to your liking. These baskets are more visually appealing outdoors as a decoration to your porch or addition to your garden, a wonderful and colorful invitation to your home.

There are also hanging baskets that come with holes in them. Meaning that they are created for plants that love to stretch and grow out of their planter. With planters like this, it will be fun to experiment with vines and fruits. While this item is sold in stores, the fun will be in making it your own. Experiment with the fruits and vines and decorate that planter, making it unique to you and your home.
