CHICAGO—The Divine Performing Arts (DPA) New York Company performed at the Civic Opera House in Chicago on Saturday night, to the delight of Mr. Wilczak who works in the field of genetics.
He had seen the DPA show advertised last year in New York and wanted to see it. However, he was unable to make it at that time. A year has passed, when he saw the advertisement in Chicago recently, he was determined to see the show and he was very happy for his decision.
Mr. Wilczak said that he enjoyed every program in the show.
“I like the performing arts and dance and its giving me insight into the heritage and expression … the ethnic Chinese Americans … It’s a good expression, I think it sensitizes me more to the heritage.
“The costumes are colorful, the choreography is exciting, it’s a good attention getter, and it’s expressive. In the case of the Monkey King, it’s a very lively script and it transcends certain things, so it brings together different facets of life. Overall, I’m a fan.”
