“It was exhilarating, very energetic,” Mrs. Sutherland said. “I love the grace, the grace of all the dancers—the male and the female—they are all so graceful and very athletic as well.”

Jessica Dwyer: “Fantastic music, the choreography, they worked together, they incorporated so much together, the costumes were so … you couldn’t miss them, absolutely wonderful.”

“It was a beautiful performance,” Ms. Olivia Wood said. “We came not knowing anything about it, but when the first scene opened, I knew it was something I would enjoy seeing.

Ms. Martin had studied ballet as a child and so was particularly interested in the dancing. She felt the technique was “just sensational, absolutely perfect. Perfect … I think the costumes were outstanding.”

Mrs. Lacy said of the New York-based Shen Yun. “The costumes were fantastic, the dancing was out of this world, and they had a story to tell.”

The enthusiastic audience appreciated the grand spectacle and honored the performers with a standing ovation at the conclusion of the performance.

Mayne Berke, a production designer and movie producer, called Shen Yun “uplifting, and very educational.”
