PASADENA, Calif.—“Such a wonderful performance simply cannot be found inside China,” exclaimed a former member of National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference after attending the final Los Angeles performance of the Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour, held at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Jan. 4. He came to the U.S. from China a year ago.

“The artistic level is extraordinarily high!” he said.

He thinks the Divine Performing Arts performance has garnered honor for the Chinese people and feels very proud of it. “The overall choreography, stage setting and play-writing are well accomplished. It is no wonder that the Divine Performance is warmly embraced by people from different countries all over the world.”

He compared this performance with what he’s seen in China: “What is seen inside China today is all dross. It’s all political propaganda. In entertainment venues, it’s basically pornographic and obscene programs. There is no way for people to see such wonderful art programs in China.”

As a political dissident who had been persecuted in China, he wants to tell everyone the persecution of Falun Gong described in the dance programs is a reality. He was jailed for two years as a prisoner of conscience. During those two years, he personally witnessed the torture of Falun Gong practitioners in prison.

The Epoch Times is a proud sponsor of the Divine Performing Arts International Tour.
