Eminem is slated to open up for the MTV Music Video Awards ceremony on Sunday night and get the show underway.
The 37-year-old has been nominated for eight awards, including Video Of The Year and Best Male Video for “Not Afraid.”
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, recently experienced a massive success with “Love The Way You Lie,” which also features Rihanna, who will also be performing with him on stage.
“We thought that there’s no better way to kick off the show than a performance from Eminem,” MTV general manager Stephen Friedman said in a statement.
The rapper’s performance is rumored to be quite the spectacle but has been kept under wraps until he takes the stage at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.
Linkin Park, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber, and many other superstars will also perform.
