French Bistro Duet Brasserie opened this week in the West Village. For dinner, it presents candlelit ambience with a menu that includes a 10-course tasting option; a neighborhood cafe for breakfast and lunch; and a bakery.
Executive chef and partner Dmitry Rodov (formerly of Riviera Grill & Sushi Restaurant in Brooklyn) offers a dinner menu that includes dishes such as Brie en Croute with wild mushrooms; Organic Roast Duck (an 85-year-old family recipe), honey/brandy/Bosc pear stuffing, and dried cherry Port sauce; and Beef Wellington, foie gras, and truffles.
Breakfast and lunch fare is more casual, with over 75 egg dishes, including 10 versions of Eggs Benedict, burgers, and sandwiches, among other dishes.
