Sugar and selfies will fly at the return of the sweet-toothed and highly Instagrammable Dessert Goals festival to New York City this fall. The two weekend-long event, themed the Joy Edition, will be held on Oct. 13–14 and Oct. 20–21 at Sound River Studios in Long Island City. It marks the seventh Dessert Goals event in two years, and the fifth in NYC.
Festival-goers will enjoy access to an array of sweet treats from over 20 local vendors, including ice cream-stuffed donuts from Stuffed Ice Cream; popsicles from People’s Pops; macarons from WOOPS!; and rainbow-hued treats from Baked in Color. Some desserts are festival exclusives, like a pie-ice cream hybrid “Slice Cream” from Petee’s Pie Company and cake pop bouquets in pink chocolate-dipped ice cream cones—which have sold out every festival—from Rebecca’s Cake Pops.
Meanwhile, an “Instagram Garden” of photo-friendly installations, plenty of dessert-themed decor, and waterfront views of Manhattan will provide endless photo ops.
General admission tickets ($17) include one and a half hours of access to desserts for purchase inside the festival, as well as complimentary beverages, candy, and snacks. Extra Sugar Rush tickets ($35) include two hours and an additional tote bag of goodies. On sale at DessertGoals.com.
