They were captured by retired teachers, Laurent Renaud, 61, and Dominique Haution, 62, in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Park in September.

The married couple from Douai, France, were about to leave the park during a safari when they caught sight of the rare zebra, known as “Tira.”

While it was their first encounter with a white zebra, the couple have previously seen a pink hippo in Masai Mara back in 2015 and a white giraffe in Tanzania 35 years ago.

The wildlife-loving couple have been visiting Kenya every year since 1982, where they organize and lead safaris.
