These incredible images show an extremely rare white zebra grazing in the African savanna.
They were captured by retired teachers, Laurent Renaud, 61, and Dominique Haution, 62, in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Park in September.
The married couple from Douai, France, were about to leave the park during a safari when they caught sight of the rare zebra, known as “Tira.”
It was the first time the albino animal had been spotted for over a month, when he was last seen as a youngster in August of this year.
“To spot such an animal is incredible,” Laurent said. “It seems like a dream.
“White zebras are very, very rare. It’s our first time to spot a white zebra.
“You open your photo bag and you just have a few seconds before it disappeared.”
While it was their first encounter with a white zebra, the couple have previously seen a pink hippo in Masai Mara back in 2015 and a white giraffe in Tanzania 35 years ago.
The wildlife-loving couple have been visiting Kenya every year since 1982, where they organize and lead safaris.
