If you’re scared of heights then this hiking trail is definitely not for you. It’s possibly the scariest hikes in America and Matt Sampson has the details on this gripping trail.
One of the most dangerous trails in North America is considered to be the Precipice Trail in Maine’s Acadia National Park.
This hike is only for physically fit and experienced hikers who have no fear of heights because the the trail goes almost vertical 1,000 foot up the east face of Champlain Mountain.
The hike is approximately 1,5 mile round-trip and any wrong movement can be fatal while climbing up.
The hike is too dangerous in Winter months and it is closed Spring to early Summer because of falcon nesting. So the only time to to get the adrenaline kick this place is from late Summer to Fall.
