You can have any color, as long as it’s white.

There’s an extraordinary auction coming up featuring 56 Porsches all painted white, and all from the same owner.

The aptly named “The White Collection” being offered by RM Sotheby’s boasts a total of 63 vehicles, including 56 Porsche sports cars and two Porsche tractors.

The auction will take place over two days in Houston, Texas, on Dec. 1 and 2, 2023, in a warehouse-style venue that according to RM Sotheby’s can “only be described as a Porsche sanctuary.”

The auctioneers further explain that the vehicles represent “over a decade of dedicated collecting by one perfection-focused owner.”

The owner’s identity is being kept anonymous.

The main highlight of the sale is a 2015 Porsche 918 “Weissach” Spyder with just 12 miles on the clock. The hypercar was delivered new to The White Collection via Porsche of North Houston and is estimated to be worth between $2.5 million and $3 million.

Gord Duff, the global head of auctions at RM Sotheby’s, explains: “To truly comprehend this collection’s depth, one has to understand the secondary Porsche market.

“Paint-to-sample supercars and classic sports cars in original condition have seen their values skyrocket, a consistent pattern in our sales. These vehicles, which show high originality and remarkably low mileage, are among the most sought-after Porsche sports cars in the current market.

“With the global demand for Porsche and the unique chance to buy these cars, The White Collection promises to be another unparalleled event for RM Sotheby’s.”

Auction Highlights:

1. 2015 Porsche 918 “Weissach” Spyder: The crown jewel of The White Collection; a breathtaking and entirely unique rendition of Porsche’s modern hypercar. Delivered new to The White Collection via Porsche of North Houston, it currently indicates just 12 miles on the clock at the time of cataloging.

Finished in paint-to-sample grand prix white (9A5) with color-matched magnesium wheels, over full LTS yachting blue leather, and bianco leda piping, it was custom-specified by the consignor with over $96,000 of bespoke tailoring from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, as well as the desirable Weissach performance package. An extensive assortment of original 918 accessories accompanies the car, and it is the only 918 Spyder ever produced with this incredible specification (estimate: $2,500,000 to $3,000,000).

3. 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring: Maintained under single ownership for nearly 20 years, this authentic Carrera RS 2.7 Touring retains its numbers-matching 911/83 engine and gearbox and is presented in its factory colors of grand prix white with blue Carrera lettering over black leatherette (estimate: $900,000 – $1.2 million).

4. 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8: Arguably the wildest 964 ever ordered, this RSR is a truly incredible car and was the last of 51 examples produced. It’s also the second of just two “Strassenversion” RSR models built by Porsche Motorsport with a fully appointed leather interior. Finished in the eye-catching color combination of grand prix white (L908) over can can red and grand prix white leather upholstery, this example was delivered new to the UK in March 1996. It was rediscovered in 2015 and has only ever been driven 43 miles. It also retains its original tires and numbers-matching engine and gearbox (estimate: $2 million to $2.5 million).

5. 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight: This rare US-delivered car originally specified with the coveted lightweight Sport (M471) package, left and right headrests, heated rear windscreen, and three-point safety belts retains its numbers-matching chassis, engine, and gearbox. Among the most desirable air-cooled 911s ever produced, this example will go under the hammer in its factory-correct colors of grand prix white (908) with red lettering over a black leatherette interior (estimate: $1.75 million to $2 million).

6. 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo S X85 “Flat-Nose”: One of 39 examples built for the United States market in 1994, this hand-built, high-performance, air-cooled special to bookend the 964-generation 911 Turbo boasts a lavishly appointed interior with rootwood treatments and cashmere beige leather throughout and is believed to be one of two grand prix white X85 Turbo S Porsches (estimate: $1.5 million to $2 million).
