A mom of three from England who was told she was too big to go on a waterslide while on holiday has lost more than 112 pounds.

Sian Doulton from Sandbach, Cheshire, was tipping the scales at 269 pounds before she began her weight loss journey.

Her diet comprised three pieces of toast with butter for breakfast; a ready meal, usually mac and cheese, with a chocolate bar for lunch; snacks that included a chocolate bar, crisps, and sweets; and Pepsi Max for drinks. For dinner, she'd opt for a full-sized three-cheese deep pan pizza.

Ms. Doulton was celebrating her 30th birthday in Tenerife with her husband Graham Doulton, 41, at an all-inclusive resort.

Here she visited a restaurant and had three to four plates of food. However, while walking around in the resort she felt her legs were chafing, and she was a “hot and sweaty mess.”

“One morning, I went to go on a waterslide, and the lifeguard told me I was too big,” she said. “I was mortified, I couldn’t believe it—it was so embarrassing.”

After being denied the right, Ms. Doulton left feeling mortified, knowing she had to make a change.

When she returned to the UK, she signed up for the 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan.

By cutting down on sugar, carbs, and fat and swapping her meals for healthier options, she went from size 22 to size 10 within eight months.

“I thought it was going to be much much harder, I have tried to lose weight before, but it has never clicked,” she said. “With the structure of the diet, it was so easy and freeing.”

“For the first 12 weeks, I lost 4 stone, I didn’t do any exercise, it was just the meal replacements,” she said.

However, after the first 23 weeks, she began to increase her steps.

Since losing weight, Ms. Doulton has had to buy a whole new wardrobe and says she now feels like a brand-new woman.

“I don’t know how to explain it. I don’t feel like me, it’s almost like I have imposter syndrome,” she said.

After being able to shed all those extra pounds, Ms. Doulton said she’s been perceived very differently by people around her.

“I went to a conference with work, and they were giving out free t-shirts,” she said. “A woman looked at me and was like, ‘Here is a medium it will fit you fine.’ I was like, ‘No, no, I need an XL.’ But the medium did fit perfectly.”

Her diet now comprises a protein shake for breakfast, a bowl of soup with a satsuma and yogurt for lunch, and pulled Mexican chicken with nachos for dinner. For drinks, she usually opts for sugar-free juice and water.

Since losing 269 pounds, Ms. Doulton now weighs 155 pounds and said she feels like a completely new woman.
