The ruling passed on Oct. 12 over a 3 year, 1 1/2 month sentence on Brunson, who had been charged with unsubstantiated terrorism offenses by Turkey. The court said he would not serve any further time because he had already been detained since October 2016.
The move could help towards healing ties between Ankara and Washington, who are NATO allies. U.S. officials, including the president, have been applying increasing pressure on Turkey to free Brunson.
“PASTOR BRUNSON JUST RELEASED. WILL BE HOME SOON!” Trump wrote.
Melania Trump on ‘MeToo,’ Bullying, and her ‘Be Best’ Initiative
First lady Melania Trump says she may be one of the “the most bullied” people in the world, judging by “what people are saying about me.”
She made the remark during a television interview in which she promoted her Be Best initiative, which aims to tackle online bullying.
“I could say I’m the most bullied person in the world,” Trump said in the interview segment that aired Thursday on “Good Morning America.”
“One of them,” she clarified.
Trump said her Be Best campaign is focusing on social media and online behavior in part because of the attacks on her, something her son, Barron Trump, has also been the target of.
“We need to educate the children in social-emotional behavior so when they grow up ... they know how to deal with those issues,” she said.
Trump also answered questions on the #MeToo movement.
“I support the women, and they need to be heard,” she said, “but we need to show the evidence,” she said.
“We need to have really hard evidence,” she said regarding accusations such as sexual assault. “If you accuse [someone] of something, show the evidence.”
The first lady also hinted that there are still people in the White House whom she and the president can’t trust. She didn’t name names but said she let her husband know about them.
“Well,” she said, “some people, they don’t work there anymore.”

The Radio City Rockettes Rehearse for New Christmas Spectacular Finale
There will be a new finale at this year’s Radio City Rockettes 2018 Christmas Spectacular and rehearsals are currently underway in New York.“Christmas Lights,” the new scene will combine technology and art.
“It’s going to focus in on the North Star and fragments are going to pull away. Aerialists are actually going to be performing and then 100 drones are going to be out over the stage forming different patterns, shapes, colors and then they’re going to be surrounding Santa and then before you know it, the Rockettes will appear,” said dancer Corey Whalen.
“And we have a brand new finale number with all new choreography, costumes performing alongside these drones and it’s going to be unlike anything that has ever done at this scale in live theater with drones before so we’re really excited about it,” Whalen added.
Digital projections will transport audiences from their seats to the center of the action—from the North Pole to Central Park, to a manger in Bethlehem. Design studio Obscura Digital created all-new projections for “The 12 Days of Christmas,” “Nutcracker” and “Here Comes Santa Claus,” as well as the new finale.
