SAVANNAH, Ga.—The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has destroyed and distorted Chinese culture since it came into power less than a century ago. Shen Yun Performing Arts is using its art to share with audiences the beauty of China before communism.

One of the dance stories that Shen Yun shares is a portrayal of Falun Dafa practitioners being persecuted for their faith. Harvesting the organs of Falun Dafa practitioners for profit is one of the biggest crimes against humanity in today’s society.

“It was beautiful. I particularly liked the story with the organ harvesting, where the communists came out,” said Bo Lariscy, a retired restaurant owner.

“It was very sad to watch where he was persecuted,” Ms. Barfield said.

Since the CCP took power, it oppressed all religions and essentially became the religion of the state.

“All communists everywhere try to suppress religion. It doesn’t matter the religion. The communists want to be the only God,” Mr. Lariscy said.
