CHICAGO—Shen Yun Performing Arts returned to the Civic Opera House on April 15. The New York-based company attracted legislators and officials, such as Dorothy Brown, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County. She said she was touched by the spirituality of the show and, “The message is very soothing, and warm.”
Ms. Brown said, “It’s so intriguing and the outfits and costumes are so beautiful. This performance is just amazing!”
She said she was moved by the performance, Our Story, which touches on contemporary history in China. A teacher is attacked by police for her spiritual belief, as her students try to protect her.
She said she would recommend that others see Shen Yun. “It is something that’s great for children to see, great for families to see, so I would tell anyone to definitely come and see this performance.!”
