I second the opinion of John Alexander printed in the July 28, 2021, Readers’ Turn section [“Liberal Narrative’s Fine Print”]. There are few outlets for conservative opinion that aren’t subject to liberal censorship. The Epoch Times is one of those few. Unfortunately, it preaches to the choir. The people that most need to hear what you have to say don’t read this publication.
All of the major media outlets have been decidedly left-leaning for a very long time. More recently, they have ceased any attempt at balanced reporting of news and have limited their editorial offerings to half-truths and outright lies. It was not always so. Thirty-plus years ago I regularly submitted full-length conservative opinion pieces to the newspaper of record in a suburb of Philadelphia, the region I lived in at the time. Most of those were printed. Recently I submitted a conservative opinion piece to the newspaper of record in the Raleigh, N.C., area where I currently live. Based on the editor’s response and regular reading of their Opinion section, it became obvious that conservative opinion has a snowball’s chance in a pizza oven of publication in that paper.
