Being a “wordologist,” I have had more of a desire lately to better understand the word “Dominion” than many words I’m not in the habit of using. The word “dominion” is a noun, and it means “the power, or right of governing and controlling; sovereign authority.”
You may be asking, “Haven’t we been hearing that word a lot recently?” Yes, we have! It was the Dominion Voting Systems used in several of our states during this past presidential election in order to, as many voters see it, attack and attempt to establish dominion over the USA.
The definition of the word “dominion” says, “It is man’s attempts to control both nature and mankind. However, the enemy loves to pervert God’s intentions.” Therefore, I guess the crooks/evildoers read it wrong. According to the Bible, beginning in Genesis 1:28, God meant mankind to have dominion over nature—not nations.
Since I am an ex-English teacher, I thought I would help you to understand the meaning of the word “dominion,” when people associate the word to describe having dominion over nations. Here are some of the antonyms for the word: anarchy, confusion, disintegration, disorder, insurrection, lawlessness, mutiny, rebellion, revolt, revolution, riot ... Are you getting it?!
Now let me share what Wikipedia has shared recently in dealing with the explanation of the Dominion Voting Systems Corp. You have to click on certain words on their website in order to learn the truth as to what they believe they’re dealing with. I’m not making this up. The site states that there seems to be an “imminent death of Wikipedia predicted.” And that most of their edits are said to be “made by robots.” What I find most interesting about what the site is sharing is, they say, “all the serious editors are leaving.” Well, there also seems to be other news sites that are having similar things occurring (i.e., newscasters making word for word comments, and some who say they’re leaving).
All of what Wikipedia is sharing makes me wonder if the serious “robotic editors” are leaving because they didn’t fact check the latest statements they made about “conspiracy theories regarding the presidential election being discredited"? I’m not sure if Wikipedia understands the definition of “fake news.”
Being a strong believer that my Heavenly Father has all of this under His control, let me end by saying: “Lord, rescue America and other nations that have been slain by false and deceiving takeovers by the dominion of darkness. Lord, I believe that your victory will prevail.”
And if you want more proof that God is aware of this “dominion thing,” read Colossians 1:13 NIV: “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.”
If you understand the difference between being a soldier and a warrior, then you need to consider being a “Prayer Warrior.”
