Chris Daughtry and his wife Deanna are over the moon today with the birth of fraternal twins—daughter, Adalynn Rose, and son, Noah James.

“They’re here!!!” the musician and American Idol finalist tweeted earlier today. “I am so thankful for our precious gifts from God.”

First-born Adalynn Rose weighed in at 6 pounds, 5 ounces, while Noah James, who arrived 19 minutes later, weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces, according to Daughtry’s official website.

“The babies are both healthy and resting,“ Daughtry said on his site. ”Thanks to everyone for their love and prayers.”

Daughtry, 30, recently released the number one hit album Leave this Town with his namesake band. After a trip through Europe last month, he told his fans on Twitter that his family would get all his time after the arrival of the babies.

Due to Deanna’s partial hysterectomy four years ago, the couple sought help from a surrogate mother for the babies, who were conceived via in vitro fertilization.

Daughtry already has experience as a Dad with the newborns joining two siblings from Deanna’s former marriage, Hannah, 13, and Griffin, 11.
