Kanye West and Jay Z’s hip-hop collaboration has resulted in the release of the much-anticipated “Watch the Throne” album, and it is expected to take the hip-hop scene by storm. Billboard reported that minutes after the album was digitally released on Monday at 12 a.m. EDT, fans of West and Jay Z flocked to iTunes to register a huge number of downloads.
Fans posted lyrics of the 12 tracks almost as soon as they were able to download the songs. The two artists later managed to restrain the posts, according to Billboard magazine.
The gilded look of the album cover tells consumers much about the reputation and respect that the two rappers have in the music business.
