A heartwarming video has captured the special moment a Southwest Airlines pilot introduced a cabin crew family featuring: a flight attendant mom, two flight attendant daughters, and a retired captain dad to passengers on board.

The Boeing 737 flight was ahead of schedule, so the captain left the cockpit mid-air to use the tannoy. The captain first introduced the mother, Angel, who'd been working for the carrier for the last 27 years.

The pilot is heard saying: “So, the awesome news that I have for you all today is that today I’m flying with one of my favorite flight attendants. Okay, hold on. And her name is Angel. Angel has been with the company for 27 years, and even though she still looks 27, it’s all good, right?”

Angel was then joined by her two daughters, Keleko and Jessica, who were both on their first day at work—fulfilling their childhood dream to become cabin crew.

To make the moment even more special, the trio was joined in by Angel’s husband of 22 years, Gregg, who’s a retired pilot with the airline.

The pilot announced: “Now, the daddy was a Southwest pilot and was one of my first pilots at Southwest Airlines, one of my favorite guys. Now, I’m going to make him do something he doesn’t know. Come here, Gregg.”

The family then gathered in for a true American group hug as passengers cheered on the Southwest Airlines flight on Oct. 9 in Dallas, Texas.

The pilot also revealed to the passengers that Gregg had taught him everything about being a pilot, including how to land, and he then joked about leaving it to passengers to judge how well he performed.

A Southwest Airlines spokesperson revealed that the day was even more special for the family since Gregg and Angel had met 24 years ago on Southwest Airlines and were celebrating their 22nd anniversary.

“Keleko and Jessica’s lifelong dream of working for Southwest has come true, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication in officially joining the Southwest family,” the spokesperson said.
