French nurse and social media sensation Sonia Rochel has made a thing out of artfully videoing beautiful newborn babies taking baths. Add some harmonic melodies into the mix and the production becomes a blissfully meditative, soothing experience.

One particular pair of twins that she filmed together took the internet by storm for the remarkable bond they shared.

Rochel, who is a grandmother of six, developed a technique called the “Thalasso baby bath” after taking a shower one day and realizing just how peaceful it can be to let water run over your face. She shows parents how to give newborns baths without creams or gels that focus on gently pouring water over eyes and foreheads in order to sooth and calm them.

All of the babies she’s filmed over the years to showcase the technique seem blissfully sedated by the experience, but these particular twins were extra special—almost as if they'd never known separation, they remained locked in one another’s arms for the whole bath!

Perhaps your average non-twin would naturally disentangle with even the slightest disturbance; these twins, a boy and a girl, were different, as if it was the most natural thing in the world, as though they were one.

According to The Medical Daily, she had helped them bathe a few times before finally pulling out the camera—and they had done the same thing each time, remaining in tight embrace from start to finish.
Watch this beautiful duo enjoy their blissful bath in the video below:

Twins tend to share a particularly close bond from day one even if they aren’t identical. It doesn’t seem to matter whether they developed from a single fertilized egg or if they spent their time in utero growing and developing in separate amniotic sacs; no matter what, they seem to have an extra sense of one another’s feelings and experiences.

Scientists aren’t entirely sure what causes it, but experts believe that the nine months spent together in the womb help twins create a bond before they’re even able to utter their first words. This can lead to even fraternal twins like this boy-girl pair having a special connection from the moment they’re born—which can lead to adorable, candid moments like this one.
Rochel explained in a French-language interview that pediatricians seem happy to continue allowing her to use the Thalasso baby bath technique, and they seem to find it perfectly safe.

She added that the experience of the Thalasso baby bath mimics the movements and experiences that an infant would have in utero, which is supposed to give them a sense of security.

So far, Rochel’s video has garnered almost 50 million views on YouTube. This beautiful brother and sister could be one of the most unique highlights of her career.
