Aaron’s Incorporate, an Atlanta-based appliance and electronics company, set the new record for the largest human mattress domino in National Harbor, Md.
With 1,200 participants, Aaron’s Inc. beat the previous record holders—German company Höffner Möbelgesellschaft GmbH & Co. KG—by 50 participants. Two exhibit halls—70,000 square feet—at the The Gaylord Resort and Conference Center were used.
Aaron’s CEO John W. Robinson III pushed over the first mattress, beginning the domino effect.
While taking 13 minutes and 38 seconds and 34 rows of mattresses, the feat was achieved on the company’s first attempt. Aaron’s Inc. donated all 1,200 mattresses to A Wider Circle and Sasha Bruce Youthwork, two Washington D.C. charities.
