A Florida homeowner said she was super nervous when a black bear knocked on her glass back door with his paw.
Hannah Bowyer was at home in Santa Rosa Beach on Feb. 22 when a bear on the lookout for food suddenly appeared in her backyard. Incredible footage shows the animal, which was 4.5-foot-tall when down on all fours, pacing towards the house while Ms. Bowyer watched anxiously along with her cat.

After her cat decided to run away to safety, the bear knocked on the glass door with its huge paw and took a peek inside.
“I was super nervous that he might break the glass, and I realized he was looking right at me, and I thought maybe I need to get out of sight,“ Ms. Bowyer said. ”So at that point, I went into the downstairs bathroom and shut the door until I didn’t hear him anymore.”
According to Ms. Bowyer, this particular bear has been spotted frequently around her neighborhood, but no one has ever taken a video of him coming up and touching one of their doors.

“He hung around my house that day for probably about 30 minutes, leaving at one point and then coming back,“ she said. ”He has totally destroyed two other birdfeeders, so I wasn’t super happy to see him knocking those over again.”
