L‘Ecole du Grand Chocolat Valrhona, which opened in DUMBO this year, is offering classes for home bakers. The Brooklyn location is the fourth for the company, whose other schools are located in Tain L’Hermitage, Paris-Versailles, and Tokyo.

Among the upcoming classes are French Classics, taught by Jean-Jacques Bernat of Provence en Boîte (Nov. 22); Chocolate Christmas taught by Hervé Poussot of Almondine Bakery (Deb. 13); and American Classics, taught by chefs Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito of Baked (Jan. 10).

Classes cost $229 per person, and take place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 222 Water St. For more information, visit Valrhona-Chocolate.com or call Kira Posner at 718-522-7001, extension 110.
