Toxey Andrews was heartbroken when none of the 21 classmates he invited to his birthday party showed up.

The new 10-year-old, though, has great memories now thanks to some Arkansas state troopers.

The four troopers came to the Andrews home in Hot Springs two days later after learning of the situation.

He said he didn’t know what to expect when he opened the door.

“Scared and at the same time trying to figure out why they were here,” he told THV11.

But by the end of their time, he was very pleased.

“They showed me all the keys to do the sirens and the horn. I also got to see the cage with the dog in it,” Toxey said.

The troopers played basketball with him, and gave him a cake and several gifts.

“I cried a little bit because they did that for me,” Toxey said. “If I am remembering right, this is the only birthday that I have had with people coming.”

Mom Angela Andrews added on Facebook that what the troopers did for her son “is the stuff dreams are made of.”

“Not only did they bring him a birthday cookie cake, but they also brought him all kinds of presents, let him play with Rino, the K-9, and play with the sirens in their cars. They ate his cake with him and played basketball with him. All out of the goodness of their hearts,” she said.

“They made this sweet baby’s day, his year!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never be able to repay the kindness you showed my family today!!”
