COLUMBUS,Ohio—Ms. Wu finally watched the Shen Yun Performing Arts’ show today after living in America for almost two years. She is a graduate student of Kent State University and majors in international relationships.
Ms. Wu graduated from a university in China and continued her post graduate studies in the U. S. She was in the audience at Shen Yun Performing Arts show in Columbus, Ohio. After the show, she said she felt that the show has strong artistic value and also demonstrates the traditional Chinese culture. “Shen Yun Performing Arts not only sends messages, but more importantly it promotes Chinese culture. I like this form of arts.
“I have been in the U.S. for almost two years and I have not seen anything with this kind of quality. I am very pleased. I believe that very few Americans understand Eastern Culture. If Shen Yun Performing Arts continues in the U.S., it will definitely help the Westerners to understand the East and China.”
Talking about the Chinese culture, Ms. Wu said, “Chinese people have a religious belief and they are not all atheists. We have our own culture and belief. The essence of this performance is in promoting traditional values.” She thought that it was very meaningful for her to watch this show.”
In the performance, there are graceful female dances and also masculine male dances. Mr. Wang particularly enjoyed the drumming segment, the Dragon Springs Drummers. He thought that they [the drummers] were very moving.
He was deeply touched by the inner meanings of Chinese god-given culture, and said, “I feel that the colors are fabulous, and the divine beings coming from above are so holy and beautiful. They reflect the longings of human beings. Chinese culture shows that there are divine beings, many a Buddha and Bodhisattva in the universe.”
