NEW YORK—Shake Shack’s 8th annual Shacktoberfest kicks off Friday, Oct. 4, and will run through Oct. 13 with a special menu.

The menu includes exclusive special-edition beers, bratwursts, and burgers.

Notable items include the Polish Sausage, griddled smoked sausage with German-style slaw ($5.25); the Bavarian Brat, griddled bratwurst topped with spicy mustard ($4.50); and the German Chocolate Pecan Concrete made with chocolate frozen custard blended with coconut-pecan caramel and chocolate truffle cookie dough (single $4.24, double $6.50).

The Shacktoberfest menu is available at all U.S. locations, except at JFK, ball parks, and the new Grand Central Terminal Shake Shack.

Guten Appetit.

Grand Central Location Opens

Shake Shack will open its awaited Grand Central Terminal (GCT) location on Saturday, Oct. 5, with some exclusive treats.

The GCT Shack is the first of its locations to sell its ShackMeister Ale in commuter-friendly bottles. It was made specifically by Brooklyn Brewery to complement the ShackBurger, and had only been sold before as a draft beer.

The menu also includes a custom custard shake flavor called the GCT Crunch-stellation, which is a combination of malt, Valrhona chocolate crunchies, and chocolate toffee pieces with a frozen vanilla custard base. The dessert was inspired by the constellation mural in Grand Central.

The GCT Shack will also serve the hand-cut fries that were launched in its Upper East Side Shack in August.

Opening day will include freebies such as retro sweatbands and sunglasses with neon arms.
