The San Francisco skyline is a mesmerizing sight. And on Tuesday, May 22, the skyline will have an extra bright light beaming from the Salesforce Tower. San Francisco’s tallest building, standing at 1,070 feet, has been equipped with roughly 11,000 LED lights covering the top 6 floors, according to SF Gate. The lights will be visible from a 20-mile radius.

Local artist Jim Campbell, who has been living in San Francisco for 30 years, was commissioned to do the work. Campbell has placed cameras throughout the city that will take photos and display them on the building’s crown at night.

The decision to light up the top of the building goes well with Salesforce’s wish to be on the cutting edge of technology and enhancement of the consumer experience. Their recent “Blaze Your Trail“ campaign is one of the reasons that Salesforce is among the leaders in innovation in what the World Economic Forum has dubbed the 4th Industrial Revolution. The 1st Industrial Revolution being steam in the 1700s, the 2nd Industrial Revolution being Electricity in the 1800s, the 3rd Industrial Revolution being Computing in the 1990s and the 4th Industrial Revolution being Intelligence in our present day.
If you happen to be in the city or across the bay, tune in at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22 for a first glimpse of the light show.
