With Root & Bone, traditional Southern fare with a garden-to-table sensibility comes to Alphabet City at the end of the month.
James Beard-nominated xecutive chef Jeff McInnis and chef de cuisine and fellow Top Chef alum Janine Booth have created a menu that features dishes like southern grilled peach caprese, braised short rib “meat loaf,” and of course, fried chicken. Among the dessert offerings are Banana Cream Pie and Mississippi Mud Pie.
The cocktails will be seasonal, including the Blackberry Saddle (Death’s Door gin, yellow chartreuse, blackberries, horseradish, thyme), while the craft beer menu, available on tap, will rotate.
